Heading to the Caribbean needn’t be expensive, at least for your travel insurance
The prospect of buying affordable travel insurance can be a worry, especially if you have pre-existing medical conditions. If you have been looking for affordable travel insurance policies, you may have been shocked with some of the quotes.
That’s what happened with Mr Healey from Spalding who was quoted £285 for a single trip policy to the Caribbean by her existing insurer.
Mrs Healey said: “My husband and I have pre-existing medical conditions, so I never thought that it was going to be cheap. We used our existing travel insurance provider for our insurance but was shocked when I saw how much it was going to cost. I saw Payingtoomuch.com advertised in the newspaper and thought that I should give them a call. I am so pleased that I did as I saved over £75. What’s more, I found out that not only do they offer affordable policies, but they also offer great value holidays too. So, I booked my next trip with them.”
Whether you have pre-existing medical conditions, or you are looking for a travel insurance policy with no conditions, you should always be able to find an affordable policy which will cover your trip in the event of an accident.
Chris Pannell from payingtoomuch.com said: “Mrs Healey did the right thing by shopping around, as the price of the policy quoted by her existing provider was very high. After calling us, we were able to offer Mrs Healey a better like for like rate. We use several travel insurance underwriters that we work closely with to ensure that our clients receive excellent value for money. This doesn’t always mean we are the absolute cheapest, because the cheapest policy won’t always provide sufficient cover, but we are always very competitive, and we offer a range of cover levels depending on the requirements and your budget.”
You should always shop around for your insurance, especially if you have a pre-existing medical condition as the difference between prices could be enormous and you may not get the best cover for the money you pay.
