On Monday we revealed that travel insurance from Age UK is nearly double the cost of a comparable policy from PayingTooMuch.com. You used our Facebook page to voice your anger. Here’s a selection of comments:
Rachel Dunster: “I work with the elderly and am disgusted with the cold calling from these companies supposedly for the elderly. A lot of them are very vulnerable and it's awful how they prey on them!”
Sara Stevens: "Total rip off for car insurance too; my Mum assumed that Age UK would offer the best deal but it was £200 (!) more..”
Carol Fynn: “Age UK should not be selling insurance or be paid for recommending anything, their job is to help the elderly not con them. They charge the elderly £13.50 an hour for their help and I think that is far too much from old people on a low pension. This is supposed to be a CHARITY!!”
