As the founder of PayingTooMuch.com, I wanted to update you on some changes you'll begin to see in the coming weeks.
From Monday (16th Feb), we will be bringing you insights and personal finance 'spotlights' in our monthly newsletter to help you make informed decisions on your finances. Apart from keeping you up-to-date on money issues that impact you, it will hopefully also save you some money into the bargain!
Just to re-cap on who we are - PayingTooMuch.com was founded in 2011 with the aim of offering something different from other comparison websites.
We aim to back all of our online insurance services with personal over-the-phone help if you want it, because rarely do (the majority) of people want to make important financial decisions without having the fall-back of a helpful telephone service.
So in a nutshell, online comparison with a personal service, is our commitment at PayingTooMuch.com.
The launch of the newsletter marks the first step in the growth of our online community and we'd like you to play an active role. We want this to be a community for you, and over the coming months we will be introducing new features and content all aimed at offering you a better service.
We'd very much like to hear from you and if there is anything you'd like us to feature whether it is a Q&A on a particular personal finance or insurance issue, or a guide to the pension changes, let us know by contacting our editor at [email protected].
From time to time we'll also be investigating some practices which we feel may not be in the best interest of consumers. And there's one I'd like to draw your attention to now.
Do you think you've been exploited by specialist travel insurance providers who charge excessively to cover you for a pre-existing medical condition?
If this is you, if you have any stories of your own to share about being mistreated by insurers or if you have even been subject to a scam, let us know.
Enjoy our first newsletter!
