I had an email in my junk box for my mother in law from Paying Too Much.com now. It was for travel insurance, so I thought I'd get a quote for the holiday we've booked to Florida from them. I've had two or three quotes from different companies but this was the best. Because I have a medical condition, I knew it would cost more than a normal family policy, but it turned out to be a good price. I have had a slightly cheaper quote but the cover was not as good, so a few minutes on the phone to a very nice lady ( Emma ) and it was sorted. Thank you Paying Too Much.com now. Read more

Outstanding! Glad to find them.
I am so grateful to PayingTooMuch.com for helping me with travel insurance for my son who has had a heart transplant and needed to declare all that had gone before medically. No one else would insure him but PayingTooMuch.com were even able to advise that he can participate in school trip with a responsible adult. Before I took out our policy a very kind customer service advisor talked through with me why insurers ask so many detailed questions and put my mind at rest that we weren't being penalised or singled out because of my son's medical history. great for various disabilities
I have had difficulties in past, getting quotes for both my husband and my son, on the same policy, it was ridiculous, and ended up paying £180 last year, for a yearly one through my bank account for the both of them,but as we only needed it for one trip this was ridiculous, but needed to be done, this time, I have been able to get exactly what I want, when I want, and for a fraction of the cost, £33 for all of us, I couldn't believe it, the lady who also took my call was lovely, couldn't of been more helpful and understood my frustrations in the past, would well and truly recommend them, especially if multiple people, in your trip have disabilities Read more

Do I need a bill to hand?

As long as you know your energy provider and price plan, we can estimate your savings. However, the service works better if you have a bill to hand as we can use the exact number of units consumed to provide a more accurate comparison than an estimate.

How do I switch once I've found a cheaper plan?

Once you've found a cheaper plan, you can switch providers by clicking the "switch" button on your chosen tariff. After filling in some more details you will then hear from your new supplier within a few weeks, who will liaise with your current provider to action the switching process.

The whole process takes 4-6 weeks. This timescale is required as energy suppliers are on a 28 day rolling contract, so the switch cannot take place until 28 days have passed.

What changes once I switch?

As the gas and electricity is exactly the same, the only difference you should notice is the name of your supplier and the amount on your bill.

21/10/2013 - Three down, three to go

Npower have today joined British Gas and SSE in announcing price increases to energy bills. Announcing the biggest increase so far, Npower will increase dual-fuel bills by 10.4% from December 1st.

All eyes are now on EDF, E.ON and Scottish Power to see how much they will increase energy bills by this winter. Customers are strongly advised to switch onto a fixed energy tariff today to prevent any further price increases for up to 3 winters.

18/10/2013 - British Gas Announce Price Increase Of 9.2%

British Gas have just announced price increases, with a dual fuel bill increasing by 9.2%, to be effective from 23rd November 2013.

David Cameron has today stated: "British Gas customers should switch supplier following price hike". Customers can switch by using the service at the top of this page.
