Finding Cheap Single Trip Travel Insurance

Single trip travel insurance is a cheap way for leisure and business travellers who take one or two trips abroad per year to insure themselves. Although you may consider yourself to be in good health there are always unexpected accidents waiting to happen - it's much better to be safe than sorry.

There are less than 60 countries that have reciprocal healthcare arrangements with the UK via the European Health Insurance Card (formally the E111 card) and the majority of these are based on emergency procedures.

For example, if you needed to go to casualty in one of the countries that have an arrangement with the UK, your emergency treatment would be free but some of the other services would not be, such as ambulance services and physiotherapy, even where reciprocal arrangements are in place. In some instances the bill would need to be paid at the time of the incident and claimed back later - good private travel insurance should remove this risk.
