Paying Too Much.com now, should be renamed Don't Pay too Much.com now.
I had an email in my junk box for my mother in law from Paying Too Much.com now. It was for travel insurance, so I thought I'd get a quote for the holiday we've booked to Florida from them. I've had two or three quotes from different companies but this was the best. Because I have a medical condition, I knew it would cost more than a normal family policy, but it turned out to be a good price. I have had a slightly cheaper quote but the cover was not as good, so a few minutes on the phone to a very nice lady ( Emma ) and it was sorted. Thank you Paying Too Much.com now. Read more

Outstanding! Glad to find them.
I am so grateful to PayingTooMuch.com for helping me with travel insurance for my son who has had a heart transplant and needed to declare all that had gone before medically. No one else would insure him but PayingTooMuch.com were even able to advise that he can participate in school trip with a responsible adult. Before I took out our policy a very kind customer service advisor talked through with me why insurers ask so many detailed questions and put my mind at rest that we weren't being penalised or singled out because of my son's medical history. great for various disabilities
I have had difficulties in past, getting quotes for both my husband and my son, on the same policy, it was ridiculous, and ended up paying £180 last year, for a yearly one through my bank account for the both of them,but as we only needed it for one trip this was ridiculous, but needed to be done, this time, I have been able to get exactly what I want, when I want, and for a fraction of the cost, £33 for all of us, I couldn't believe it, the lady who also took my call was lovely, couldn't of been more helpful and understood my frustrations in the past, would well and truly recommend them, especially if multiple people, in your trip have disabilities Read more

About our specialist travel and holiday insurance serviceOur specialist travel and holiday insurance comparison service is able to provide for customers with pre-existing medical conditions and those aged 70 or over.
To compare prices, simply enter your trip details above and proceed as normal, declaring any pre-existing medical conditions when prompted.
|High blood pressure||£17.54|
|* Example premiums of a 50 year old travelling to Europe for 14 days.|
Which pre-existing medical conditions can you cover?We compare a range of pre-existing medical conditions; the most common conditions we encounter are listed below:
|Arrhythmia (irregular heartbeat)||High blood pressure||Pancreatitis|
|Bowel prolapse||High cholesterol||Polymyositis|
|Cardiac valve disease||Hypothyroidism||Psoriatic arthritis|
|Cervical spondylitis||Irritable bowel syndrome||Retinopathy|
|Chronic airflow limitation||Ischaemic heart disease||Rheumatoid arthritis|
|Coronary angioplasty||Joint replacement||Sleep apnoea|
|Deep vein thrombosis||Low blood pressure||Slipped disc|
|Dementia||Meniere’s disease||Ulcerative colitis|
Can I simply not declare my pre-existing medical condition?Any claims made as a direct or indirect result of a pre-existing medical condition must have been declared at the start of the policy in order to be successful.
Some customers do decide to take out standard travel insurance without disclosing their pre-existing conditions as the baggage and belongings cover will still be covered.
However these customers should be cautious about claiming for medical expenses or for claiming under cancellation due to falling ill before the departure date, as non-disclosure of pre-existing conditions could very likely invalidate such a claim.
Should I include standard travellers on a specialist travel insurance policy?It tends to be much cheaper to insure standard travellers on a separate policy than adding to a specialist policy that is designed to cover those with pre-existing medical conditions.
This is because the insurer is taking on the additional risk that the standard travellers may incur additional cancellation and curtailment costs as a result of the traveller with the pre-existing medical condition(s) becoming ill.
We therefore suggest you consider whether the standard travellers are dependent on those with the pre-existing condition(s). If the standard travellers would be unaffected by a worst-case scenario affecting the traveller(s) with the pre-existing medical condition(s), then they may only require a separate/standard travel insurance policy, which is likely to be significantly cheaper.
There will be some scenarios (eg. when travelling with those under 16) where it is necessary for standard and non-standard travellers to be placed on the same policy.
